We are a company with a clinical focus, and a strong research component, dedicated to improving patient healthcare, located in Ventura, CA.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to work in a CLIA certified laboratory, focused on Next-Generation Sequencing of human-derived samples. MUST HAVE NGS EXPERIENCE.

Minimum required qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor degree in Biology or a related area

- Current California clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) license 

- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical molecular analysis or research lab

- Demonstrated molecular biology lab techniques

- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Be able to work independently, but also follow instructions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Extraction of DNA/RNA from human samples

- Set up of molecular assays (PCR, qPCR, etc)

- Quality testing of reagents and maintenance of instrumentation

- Reporting laboratory test results

- Review and implement technical instructions and standard operating procedures

- Run NGS instruments (Illumina NextSeq/MiSeq)

- Other duties may be assigned
